02 The studio

We keep what the building got right.

Most Lyon apartments were planned better in 1908 than in 1988. Our work usually begins by removing what the intervening decades added — partitions, dropped ceilings, hollow doors — and only then drawing something new.

The atelier is at 14 Rue des Capucins, on the slope of Croix-Rousse. Four people, one long table, a materials wall you are welcome to touch.

We would rather lose a month than a wall worth keeping.
