Booking and rebooking by breed and coat for dog groomers
You're halfway through a doodle's de-mat when three booking requests ping on your phone. We build dog groomers a booking system that remembers each dog's coat, clip and temper, and asks the owner back when the coat is due.
What can AI do for a dog grooming business?
AI can answer booking requests on WhatsApp and your website while your hands are full, remember each dog's breed, clip and behaviour notes, and message the owner when that dog is due back. A doodle on a six-week cycle and a lab on a twelve-week cycle each get asked at their own time.
It suits a salon with two tables and a waiting list, or a groomer working alone from a van. You keep grooming, and owners book, move and confirm from their phones.
The AI reads messages the way owners type them, such as "same as last time but shorter on the face", and turns them into a booking with the right clip on it. It replies in the language the owner writes in, and you read every conversation in your own.
What we build for dog groomers
Rebooking when the coat is due
You set a starting interval for each breed and clip. A poodle in a short clip might be four weeks, a spaniel tidy eight. After a few visits, the system uses that dog's own gap between grooms.
At pick-up, the owner gets a message offering the next groom at the right interval, while the dog smells of shampoo. The timing runs on the same kind of scheduled steps as our workflow automation.
When you're mid-groom and can't pick up
Wet dog on the table, phone ringing in your apron. A missed call gets a WhatsApp or text within a minute, with a link to book or a question about what the owner needs.
If you want, an AI assistant answers the call, books the groom into your diary and sends you a short summary. Anything it can't handle comes to you. We set it up on a proven voice platform and connect it through our AI integration work. It tells callers they're speaking to an assistant.
The usual clip and behaviour notes
Each dog has a card: breed, coat, blade or comb length, how the face and feet are done, and the notes you'd tell a new groomer. "Hates the dryer, towel dry and use the cage dryer on low." "Nips when you do the back feet."
Before the dog arrives, the groomer gets the card in a staff chat. We've built records that live in Telegram before, such as this CRM in Telegram.
- ClipNo. 7 on the body, scissor the legs
- FaceFull beard, tidy the eyebrows
- NoteNips at the back feet, go slow
Vaccination proof and new-dog forms
If your salon asks for proof of vaccination, a new owner gets a short form before the first visit and sends a photo of the vaccination card. We save the expiry date on the dog's card. The form lands on the dog's record, stored securely, and only your salon sees it.
When the card is about to run out, the owner gets a message asking for the new one before the next groom. We read the date from the photo, the way our business card CRM reads contact details from a picture.
Routes for mobile groomers
If you groom from a van, you want Tuesday's dogs in the same part of town. When an owner asks to book, the system offers days when the van is in that area, so you spend the day grooming and not sitting in traffic.
Each morning you get the route in order, with addresses, gate codes and the dogs' notes. That morning list is part of the operations automation we build.
- 08:30Luna, cockapoo, 14 Elm Road
- 10:45Rufus, westie, 3 Mill Lane
- 13:00Bea, shih tzu, 27 Elm Road
- 15:00Otis, poodle, 8 Brook Close
A Google review request with the after photo
When the dog goes home, the owner gets the after photo you took and a link to your Google profile. Every owner gets the same ask, because Google's rules forbid rewarding reviews or asking only the happy ones.
If an owner replies that something went wrong, the message comes to you so you can put it right. When a review comes in, we draft a reply for you to approve, and we post your offers and holiday hours to your Google profile. An AI employee sends these each evening and logs each one.

How much does a booking system for a dog groomer cost?
A booking and rebooking system for a dog groomer costs a fixed price to build and a monthly rate to run, and the audit that scopes it is free. If you need a new website for it, our managed websites start from $790 at launch prices.
WhatsApp and SMS providers charge per message. You can use your own provider accounts and pay the providers yourself, or we manage them and estimate the cost from your number of dogs and messages. For a first number, estimate your build. See how the build price and the monthly rate work.
Questions dog groomers ask us
How do rebooking reminders work for a dog groomer?
Rebooking reminders work from a starting interval you set for each breed and clip, such as four weeks for a short poodle clip. After a few grooms, the reminder follows that dog's own gap between visits. When the gap is up, the owner gets a WhatsApp or SMS message with two or three free slots and the usual clip filled in.
Can a dog grooming booking system ask for vaccination proof?
Yes. If your salon asks for proof of vaccination, the booking system sends new owners a short form before the first visit and asks for a photo of the vaccination card. We save the expiry date on the dog's card. Before the date runs out, the owner gets a message asking for the new card ahead of the next groom.
Can you plan routes for a mobile dog groomer?
Yes. For a mobile dog groomer, we group bookings by area and day, and owners get offered the days when the van is in their area. Each morning the groomer gets the route in order, with addresses, gate codes and each dog's notes. The groomer can move a booking by hand, and the route updates for the day.
Can I give dog owners a discount for leaving a Google review?
No. Google's rules forbid offering discounts, gifts or money in exchange for reviews, and reviews collected that way can be removed. Asking only happy owners breaks the same rules. We ask every owner for a Google review after the groom with no reward attached, send unhappy replies to you, and keep discounts for rebooking, loyalty and referrals.
Can you add rebooking to the grooming software I already use?
In many cases, yes. If your grooming software lets other software read and change appointments, through an API or webhooks, we add the rebooking messages and dog cards on top of it. If the software is closed, we build a booking page on your own website and move your client list across. The free audit checks your software before you pay anything.
Can a dog groomer take deposits to stop no-shows?
Yes. You choose which bookings need a deposit, such as first visits or full grooms on big dogs. The owner pays from a link in the WhatsApp or SMS message through Stripe or your booking app's own payments, and the deposit comes off the bill. We never hold the money. Owners who cancel inside your notice period follow the rule you set.
Do I need this if my booking app already sends reminders?
Maybe not. Keep your booking app. We add the parts it can't do, such as WhatsApp messages, rebooking at each dog's own interval, the list of owners who've gone quiet and answering the phone while you groom. If your booking app covers all of that, the free audit will tell you so, and you won't need us.
How much does a booking system for a dog groomer cost?
A booking system for a dog groomer costs a fixed price to build and a monthly rate to run, and the audit that scopes it is free. If you need a new website for it, our managed websites start from $790 at launch prices. The monthly rate is set for the scope we agree, and we re-quote if the scope or the number of messages changes a lot.
