An AI employee that works inside Telegram groups

We built an AI employee that works around the clock in the Telegram groups a business shares with its clients, where it sends report cards and reminders, works through files and changes the CRM once a manager approves.

Client accounts that needed watching all day

The business looks after its client accounts in Telegram, with one group per client. Each account needs its performance watched closely, and the support around it repeats itself: clients ask for their numbers, send files to be dealt with and need reminding about what's next.

That support runs on a channel that never closes, and the account team handled all of it by hand. Repetitive work in a chat that's open day and night suits an AI employee, so the team can spend its time on the clients. If your deals live in chat too, look at a CRM we built inside Telegram.

What we built

We built an AI employee that sits in each client group next to the account team. It handles the recurring support work and asks a manager to approve each CRM change. It's written in Python and runs as a background service, and the AI employees we build for other businesses start from the same pattern, set up for their jobs.

Report cards every morning and on request

At 09:30 each morning the AI employee posts a visual report card to the client groups. It pulls the figures from the business's reporting database, fills an HTML template and sends the result as an image that reads well on a phone.

Anyone in the group can ask for a card during the day, down to a single source, and it builds one on the spot. For another client we built a daily reporting pipeline that works the same way.

Alerts, reminders and the files clients send

Clients drop files into the group, and the AI employee works through them as they arrive. When a number needs someone's attention, it raises an alert in the group, and it sends reminders so follow-ups don't slip.

For a growth team we built an AI employee that watches live operations and routes its alerts the same way. If you need the checks without the chat around them, automated reporting is the smaller build.

CRM changes after a manager says yes

When a record in the CRM needs to change, the AI employee asks a manager in the chat first. Once the manager confirms, it opens the CRM in a real browser with Playwright and makes the change the way a person would.

Approval flows in Telegram are one of the patterns in our write-up on running operations through Telegram. We also build them on their own as part of Telegram automation.

How it runs today

The AI employee works in the client groups every day. The account team hands it the report requests, the files and the reminders, and keeps the decisions: every change to the CRM still waits for a manager's yes.

When five AI review agents audited the whole system, we fixed every critical and high-priority finding the same day.

  • 09:30Report cards land in the client groups each morning

  • Same dayEvery critical and high finding from the five-agent audit fixed

Questions about AI employees on Telegram

Can an AI employee update our CRM?

Yes. In this build the AI employee updates the CRM only after a manager approves the change in the chat. It then opens the CRM in a real browser with Playwright and makes the edit the way a person would. We connect AI to CRMs, inboxes and spreadsheets as a service of its own: AI in the tools you already use.

What happens if a Telegram AI employee stops working?

A watchdog checks on our Telegram AI employee every five minutes, so if it stops, we know within five minutes. The AI employee itself runs as a background service on its server. Running it is part of the monthly rate: we keep it going, fix what breaks and update it when the business changes how it works.

What checks and approvals did this build include?

The Telegram AI employee build included a full audit, a watchdog and a manager's approval on every CRM change. Five AI review agents went through the whole stack, and we fixed every critical and high-priority finding the same day. Day to day, the watchdog checks on the AI employee every five minutes, and every CRM change waits for a manager's yes.

What is a Telegram AI employee built with?

Our Telegram AI employee is written in Python and runs as a background service that listens to its Telegram groups. It uses Playwright to work the CRM in a real browser, renders report cards from HTML templates and reads its numbers from a separate reporting database. Scheduled jobs send the morning cards and run the five-minute watchdog.

How much does an AI employee for Telegram cost?

An AI employee for Telegram costs a fixed price to build and a monthly rate to run, and the audit that scopes it is free. The monthly rate is set for the agreed scope, and we re-quote if usage grows a lot. If you bring your own API keys, the AI providers bill you directly. The build estimator starts a small AI employee build at $2,000 to $5,000. Our pricing page explains both stages.

How long does it take to build an AI employee for Telegram?

A focused AI employee that does one job in one channel usually goes live 5 to 7 business days after the audit call. Roles that span several tools, such as report cards plus CRM changes, take 2 to 3 weeks. We scope the job at the audit and agree a date before anyone writes code, as set out in how a build with us runs.

Can an AI employee work on WhatsApp instead of Telegram?

Yes. An AI employee can work on WhatsApp as well as Telegram, answering new leads, asking your qualifying questions and booking calls into your calendar. We pick the setup for your volume at the audit, from session-based automation for a fast start to the WhatsApp Business API at scale. WhatsApp automation covers the channel on its own.
